Fine Art Instruction

As a graduate of The Cooper Union with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Carolyn has also had the benefit of an exceptional foundation in multiple mediums. Additionally, Carolyn holds a Certificate of Eligibility to Teach Art from the State of New Jersey. Her scope of knowledge and range of skills include the following:

  • painting, oil, watercolor, acrylic
  • drawing, charcoal, pastel, pencil, pen & ink
  • jewelry, enameling
  • fiber crafts, weaving, crochet, sewing
  • digital art, photography and graphic design

As a former Saturday Program and Summer STEAM Camp instructor at the Gifted Child Society, Carolyn worked with students teaching drawing, print-making, mixed media and digital photography.

Presently, Carolyn is a Teacher of Art with the Dumont Schools, Lincoln Elementary and Charles A. Selzer School in Dumont, NJ. Teaching students from grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, Carolyn is providing art instruction for approximately 300 students. Focusing on the Elements and Principles of Design, and a rigorous Art Curriculum, Carolyn utilizes many different mediums and art history to make art fun and interesting for her students.

She is also available for private instruction and portfolio development.
